Tom Cruise is determined to take a more relaxed approach to dating.

The 51-year-old actor, who split from his third wife, Katie Holmes, in June 2012 after six years of marriage and was spotted having dinner with fellow Scientologist Laura Prepon in Los Angeles earlier this week, has become ''more extroverted'' in recent months and is in no rush to find a new girlfriend.

A source told Us Weekly magazine: ''He will date again and has been talking with women. He's actually a lot more relaxed and more extroverted.''

The insider also brushed off Tom's dinner date with 'Orange Is The New Black' star Laura at The Manor Hotel, saying: ''They see each other at some functions, but they are not dating.''

The former 'That 70s Show' actress, 33, previously dated actor Christopher Masterson for seven years until 2007.

A source previously said that the'Oblivion' star was ''on cloud nine'' after enjoying two dates with Laura recently, whom he has been friends with for years.

Meanwhile, Tom, who was also previously married to Nicole Kidman and Mimi Rogers, has also been spending some quality time with his daughter, Suri, seven, whom Katie secured sole custody of in their divorce.

The insider said: ''Tom still sees [Suri] and speaks to her on the phone.''
