The '1989 World Tour Live' gives fans a look behind-the-scenes and what went on during Swift’s mammoth seven month long tour.
Taylor Swift’s concert film 'The 1989 World Tour Live', hit Apple Music on Sunday December 7th and the doc is packed full of interesting insights into what went on during the seven month worldwide tour. The film documents her November 28th show in Sydney, Australia at the AZN Stadium, but also features Swift answering some important questions about her time on the road.
Taylor Swift’s, 'The 1989 World Tour Live' is now on Apple Music.
The film was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who also worked on Jay Z and Beyoncé's On the Run Tour film. Swift only wrapped up her 1989 world tour earlier this month and the mammoth worldwide trek saw her play 85 sold-out shows to over two million fans.
But a big part of the tour were the celebrity guests which Swift invited onstage every night. Speaking in the doc, Swift said it was easier than she thought it would be to get her fellow celebs to say yes.

"Getting people to say yes to come out onstage was a lot easier than I thought," Swift says. ”It really showed me how many artists out there love what they do so much that they are willing to get up and play because it's fun.”
During the recorded show in Sydney the special guest was Justin Timberlake, who joined Swift for a rendition of his song ‘Mirrors’. "Of course I invited him out," Swift said of Timberlake. "But I did not expect him to say yes.”

But other guests happened more accidentally, including Rolling Stone legend Mick Jagger, who was invited to join Swift after her dad’s friend spotted him out for lunch in Nashville. Then there’s John Legend, who was attending her concert as an audience member when they decided to duet, 40 minutes before showtime.
As for what Swift’s plans are now the tour has ended, let’s just say they involve carbs. "I want to learn CPR. Maybe a mixology class. I want to learn how to, like, make a good drink," Swift says during the end credits. ”Maybe I'll just eat carbs and nothing else for the next couple of months. I don't have to wear any crop tops.”
