Taylor Swift has opened a $4 million music school.

The 23-year-old singer declared the Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, officially open on Saturday (12.10.13), and admitted she may return to the facility to host some guest lectures for students in the future.

She said: ''We've been talking about different programs I can be involved in.

''I hate to call it a lecture because that sounds like I'm yelling at people, but we could do a Q&A talking to students here and a songwriters discussion would be really fun to have at some point.''

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' hitmaker donated $4 million to the Hall of Fame - where she signed a recording contract when she was a teenager - to provide the facility, and she is pleased to be able to help others.

Following the opening ceremony, she said: ''I'm really excited about this music education centre and the fact that right now they have three different classes going on today.

''It's really exciting that we can be here on a day when they're not only unveiling it, but they're starting to actively use it today.''

The donation made by the blonde beauty - whose parents moved to country music hotspot Nashville when she was 14 to enable her to pursue a music career - is the largest gift by an individual artist the centre has ever received.
