Once again proving she really is the nicest woman in pop, Taylor Swift has given one fan and her family an amazing surprise with a donation of $50,000. Swift donated the generous amount to 11 year old Naomi Oakes via her GoFundMe page, which was set up after she was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia.

Oakes, who counts Swift as her favourite singer, had been planning to attend the ‘Shake it Off’ singer’s August 18th concert in Phoenix with her best friend, but her plans sadly had to change when she received her diagnosis on June 25th.

The diagnosis meant that Oakes would have to endure aggressive treatment and would be unable to leave the hospital for six to nine months. In an attempt to reach out to Taylor, Naomi’s family shared her story with the world via a YouTube video showing the 11 year old dancing to Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’.

The video soon caught the eye of Taylor and the singer showed her support for Naomi by donating $50,000 to her GoFundMe page. "To the beautiful and brave Naomi,” Swift wrote. “I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let's focus on getting you feeling better. I'm sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”

A video has since been posting of Naomi seeing Swift's message for the first time and let’s just say the 11 year old was a little overwhelmed with the acknowledgement she received from her idol. Sitting in her hospital bed Naomi says, ”I can barely breath," while viewing the message, then jokes,”I seriously think I'm going to pass out. ”
