Taylor Swift and John John Florence have been rumoured to be dating for a while now – a while in internet terms, which really means no more than a week.

But as cute as the extremely blonde couple would have been together, and as much as we would’ve liked their joint nickname (Taytay and John John, think of the possibilities!) the two are definitely NOT together. According to E!News’s sources, the rumors are totally false - "Taylor is not dating—or texting—this guy."

Maybe everyone is just getting overly excited about Taylor’s next love story? And the follow up album, of course. We’ll all have to cool it for a while though, as it doesn’t look like the pop princess will have any time for such frivolity in the near future – what with her just having kicked off her Red tour and all.

The rumor seems to have surfaced with Florence’s vague answer to an interview question a couple of weeks ago. When a reporter asked the Vans Cup 2011 winner whether there was something going on between him and Swift, he replied: "Yeah, you know, it's kind of a secret thing going on right now. Can't bust it out in the public just yet." At this point, though, it seems like it was nothing more than a publicity stunt. Taylor remains a single lady – for now at least.
