Many celebrities use their fame and fortune to perform charitable acts, but which celeb is the most generous?

The social change website DoSomething.org compiles a list each year of the top 20 celebrities who have given most of their time and money to charitable organisations.

The annual list is called the 'Top 20 Celebs Gone Good'.

For the second year in a row country/pop singer Taylor Swift is crowned as the most charitable celebrity of 2013.

The website gave her the title for a very hefty donation she made on her 24th birthday, "Swift recently celebrated her 24th birthday by GIVING gifts instead of getting," the website said.

"She donated $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony, which has faced extreme financial difficulties this year. Swift also headlined an event benefiting Centrepoint, an org working to help young people experiencing homelessness."

Earlier last month (Nov 26th), Swift, along with Bon Jovi and Prince William, also attended the Winter White Gala at Kensington Palace and headlined a gig which benefitted the homeless youths in London.

The 'Red' hit maker also got one over on her ex Harry Styles as his band, One Direction, debuted in second place on the list. Their Red Nose Day single, for the U.K charity Comic Relief, managed to raise a staggering $2 million to help people form Africa and England who are living in poverty.

Beyoncé landed in 3rd position for headlining a London charity concert for women's rights called 'Chime For Change' earlier this year. The late Paul Walker earned the 4th spot for creating the aid organisation 'Reach Out Worldwide', which helps provide aid for to areas suffering from natural disasters.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Sandra Bullock, Kerry Washington, Ian Somerhalder, Ryan Seacrest and Carrie Underwood finished off the top ten.
