Taylor Swift's fans in Thailand are left hugely disappointed.

The 24 year-old pop star has decided to cancel her forthcoming tour of the small nation, which was scheduled for next month, due to a disturbances amongst political parties.

Swift was expected to perform in front of a sold-out venue in Bangkok on June 9th, but on Tuesday (May 27th) the concert promoter BEC-Tero informed fans of its cancelation via their website.

"Due to recent events in Thailand, Taylor Swift's concert in Bangkok scheduled for Monday June 9, 2014 has been cancelled," the post said. "This has been a difficult decision for all parties. Taylor, AEG, BEC Tero and 13 Management all express regret and sincere apologies to the fans in Thailand."

The 'Red' hit maker also addressed the unfortunate turn of events on her Twitter, posting, "I'm sending my love to the fans in Thailand. I'm so sad about the concert being canceled."

However, the Country singer isn't the only big star to drop out of a show since the country came under military rule last week after a coup d'etat.

Eric Clapton was the first to cancel a scheduled concert after violent attacks began to frequently occur throughout Bangkok towards the end of February.

This would have been Swift's very first visit to Thailand but she still has several other concerts in Asia coming up, which are part of her Red Tour. Her next show is set for Shanghai on May 30th, and she will also visit Japan, Indonesia, Philippine, Malaysia, and Singapore.

While Taylor is currently on her Red worldwide tour, she recently revealed what her infatuation with the colour is.
