She's just announced her new album that will be dropping in October, but it looks like that isn't enough for pop star Taylor Swift. The singer/actress is set to add singing mentor to her resume by joining the celebrity panel on the next season of 'The Voice'.

According to Us Weekly, Swift will be taking over from Chris Martin as a celebrity mentor, advising contestants across all four of the teams belonging to the celebrity judges. This season the panel is comprised of Voice veterens Blake Shelton and Adam Levine as well as newcomers Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams and will kick off on September 22nd, which is handy considering Swift's album comes out the following month. She guest starred on Season 4 of the show, so maybe fans will be treated to another performance.

There will also be a celebrity mentor assigned to each judge's team; Stevie Nicks with Levine, Gavin Rossdale with his wife Stefani, Little Big Town with Shelton, and Alicia Keys with Williams. Taylor will be the wildcard of sorts, providing key advice to hopefuls from all four teams.

The country pop star announced her new album entitled 1989 last week and performed her new single 'Shake It Off' at the MTV Video Music Awards. Her new single seems to be hitting back at the media's idea of who she is, but Swift has attracted some criticism for the song's video, which some have deemed offensive in its references to black culture.

Swift's global domination also continues on the big screen, with her latest film, The Giver, released in the US earlier this month.
