With the massively successful Twilight franchise coming to a close at the end of the year, one the film’s biggest stars, Taylor Lautner, has given his word that he is ready to leave his lycanthropic ways behind him and move on from the vampire love fest.

Speaking to reporters in Brazil whilst promoting the film, Lautner said: “It's sad that this is coming to an end, but at the same time as an actor it's exciting because I'm getting ready to start a new chapter in my life.” Lautner has spent the best part of four years committing himself to the role of Jacob Black, and at only twenty years old and with the world at his feet, it would be a surprise if he didn’t live up to his promise and build on his own expectations to achieve big in Hollywood after finishing with Twilight.

Lautner gave a brief hint at what we might expect his future roles to pan out like, with the young actor telling the reporters in South America: “There are a few projects in development right now that I'm really looking forward to and it will definitely show a different side to me." So far, Taylor is lined up to take on roles in the upcoming comedy sequel Grown Ups 2 and in the free running adventure Tracers in 2014. The last instalment of the franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2, is set for a November 16 release date throughout the UK.
