Badass Digest reports that the robotic hand that J.J Abrams teased fans with early this month does not, as many first thought, belong to Luke Skywalker, who lost his right hand in a lightsabre battle with his father, Darth Vader, in Episode V. Instead the hand belongs to a villain.

Latino Review has the scoop on the main antagonists of the new film. They will be a group called The Inquistors, although Badass Digest states that this name hasn't actually been used on set and it might be different in the finished film. The robotic hand mentioned above? That belongs to the leader of the Inquistors, who is actually a cyborg.

The reports also delve further into the film's plot, claming that Luke Skywalker has been held captive by the Inquistors for thirty years, with Princess Leia, Han Solo and the wookiee Chewbacca searching for him. The trio have a new ship, too- but the Millenium Falcon will be making an appearence, albeit with a new owner in the form of Inside Llewyn Davis actor Oscar Isaac. As previously reported, the two new protagonists, played by British actors Daisy Ridley and John Boyega, find the lightsabre that Luke lost in the fight with his father all those years ago, and set out on a journey to return it to its rightful owner, with leads them to Leia, Han and Chewie.

Of course, we'll just have to wait and see how true these rumours turn out to be, as the film isn't due for release until Christmas 2015, but if the reports are anything to go by, Star Wars Episode VII is shaping up to be the grand space adventure audiences have been waiting for all these years.
