In 2012 she released the track “Losing You” which was met with universal critical acclaim, hailed by Philip Sherburne of Spin Magazine as “a remarkable song in its own right, with a breezy fusion of singer-centric R&B, 1980s pop, and lanky, mid-tempo hip house beats”. Most recently Solange has announced the launch of Saint Records, her own record label, under which she plans to release her third studio album.

Solange establishes herself more as a rising star to watch with each album, each interview, each appearance. She is arguably a more interesting act than her older sister, her style more underground and eclectic and with an edge of something that appeals to perhaps a more musically refined audience.
