Sofia Vergara Celebrates 42nd Birthday With Niece & Possible New Love, Joe Manganiello

Sofia Vergara has certainly moved on since breaking her engagement with Nick Loeb in May. The Modern Family actress was recently spotted cuddling up to True Blood star Joe Manganiello on Thursday (10th July) whilst celebrating her 42nd birthday at a California restaurant.

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have been spotted together twice looking pretty cosy.

The actress was joined by her niece Claudia Vergara at Nobu Malibu, an upmarket sushi restaurant in Malibu, California. Claudia uploaded a picture on Instagram of her aunt and Manganiello looking quite comfortable with one arm around each other as they posed for the photo. Claudia was seemingly joined by Alejandro Roasen and E! claims the two 'couples' were on double date in honour of Sofia's 42nd birthday.

Earlier this month Vergara and 37-year-old Manganiello were spotted dining together in New Orleans, where Vergara has recently been filming. They were photographed together on Sunday (6th July), as Us Weekly reports, and sources claim the two were very affectionate. An onlooker told the entertainment website: "They sat very close to each other and would lean in to kiss. It was mostly Sofia leaning in to kiss his cheek or his lips."

Vergara's reported involvement with Manganiello comes just two months after she announced her split from fiancé Nick Loeb. Vergara and businessman Loeb had been dating since 2010 but Vergara announced they had separated in May of this year owing to time issues. In a statement, Vergara wrote "We have been having too many problems with having to figure out how to spend time together and because of my work and now his, it's been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore. We are still very close but we believe this is the best thing for us right now."

Vergara has recently finished filming Don't Mess With Texas, a buddy comedy in which she stars alongside Reese Witherspoon. The cast and crew, who had been filming in New Orleans, also helped Vergara celebrate by presenting her with a birthday cake (diplomatically topped with one candle) on her last day of shooting.

Sofia Vergara and Nick Loeb were engaged until May 2014.
