Sir Paul McCartney suffered a bruised ego as his tour came to a close in his native Liverpool, England on Tuesday night (20Dec11) after falling down a flight of stairs as he left the stage.
The Beatles legend beamed with delight during his performance at the Liverpool Echo Arena, a year to the day since he last took to the stage in his hometown.
However, his successful On The Run shows ended on a sour note as he took a tumble seconds after his stage exit.
A source tells Britain's The Sun that MCCartney "just dusted himself down,' adding: "He's not accident-prone so it's unusual for him to be clumsy. He saw the funny side."
