Despite his inarguable success, international talent show entrepreneur Simon Cowell is far from well liked by his audience – a fact, which was confirmed once more, when Cowell got eggs thrown at him during a recent live show of Britain’s Got Talent. At one point, when Cowell, blissfully unaware, was watching two brothers perform, when a viola player reportedly ran out from backstage and hurled eggs at him, before being taken away by security. Cowell, presumably used to this kind of reaction, remained calm, promptly took off his jacket and continued. The woman in question had appeared on a previous season of BGT with little success, Reuters reports. As far as revenge goes, egg throwing won’t top the chart for effectiveness, but at least it hasn’t gotten the woman (identified as Natalie Holt, 30) in any trouble. Cowell won’t even be pressing charges against her.

"As a result of her misguided actions, the police were called. However, we have decided to take no further action at this stage," said a spokeswoman for the show.

In the statement, released by the show's organizers, Holt apologized to the brothers, Richard and Adam, for overshadowing their performance, saying she realized that "it was a silly thing to do".

In other appearances however, Holt has seemed less remorseful, even saying on the Telegraph website that: "I basically took a stand against people miming on television and against Simon and his dreadful influence on the music industry."
