Selena Gomez's mother was only 16 when she gave birth to the former Disney Queen, so at still only 37-years-old the birth of a second child has probably come at the best possible time for mum Mandy Teefey. Teefey gave birth to her second child, and second daughter, on Thursday (June 13) last week and since then Selena has vowed that she wants to be "the best sister" she can be for the newest addition to the her family.

The Spring Breakers actress has since announced that she plans on spoiling her new sibling rotten, with the singer/actress telling aufeminin.com the week before the birth that she wants to be the "cool aunt" who does everything she can for little Gracie. She went on to acknowledge the huge age difference between herself and her sister, saying, "There's going to be a big age difference, so I think I'm going to be more like a cool aunt."

Mandy and her second husband, Brian Teafey, have tried for children before, but their 2011 pregnancy ended with a miscarriage. Selena's birth father is Mandy's ex-husband Ricardo Joel Gomez. We hope this time round thing will go much more smoothly for the couple.

After the excitment of her new sister has worn away, Selena will be straight back to work, beginning her world tour 'Stars Dance' in October in Washington D.C.in promotion of her new album, Stars Dance, which is out now. After this, she may continue to further her acting career, having revealed recently that she would go nude if it meant she could be taken more seriously as an actress.
