Selena Gomez enjoyed a very special Mother's Day indeed this week, discovering that she is to become a big sister! Well, she probably knew about it ages ago but chose to share the happy news on Twitter. "Hope all the amazing moms had a great day! I have the best momma in the world :)) I love you so much!" Gomez wrote as a caption to a photo of herself cradling mother Mandy's baby bump. Great news indeed.

It will be the first child together for Mandy and husband Brian, who wed in 2006. The couple had previously been expecting, but sadly lost the baby. The day prior to her Mother's Day get-together, Gomez had greeted 70 competition winners at LDV's Hospitality's Rec Room in Miami. "Her mom wasn't able to come to Miami for this trip, but Selena was flying home and knew it would be an extra special Mother's Day for her mom," a source told People magazine, "She said she got her mom a really great gift but it was a surprise and she couldn't wait to give it to her."

Selena's mother and father Ricardo divorced when the actress and pop-star was just 5-years-old. "I was frustrated that my parents weren't together, and never saw the light at the end of the tunnel where my mom was working hard to provide a better life for me," she told Glamour of her upbringing. "It's because of [my mom] that I can do things on my own."
