Selena Gomez admits, "I'm always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents." As she discusses single life while on tour.
Selena Gomez was in a high profile relationship with pop mega star Justin Bieber, but they have now been separated for exactly one year.
The 'Come & Get It' singer recently spoke to American radio personality, Ryan Seacrest, and discussed how single life is treating her whilst on the 'Stars Dance' tour.
"It's been good for me to actually do it all on my own this time," speaking on her solo tour. "It's been great for me to just go without my parents and being single and being me, it's been great. I'm really enjoying."
Seacrest asked, "Do Boys try and go home with you?" Gomez just laughed and replied, "I think it works different for female artists or at least it does for me because I actually don't do any of that...Don't get me wrong, if a guy has the courage to ask me out, maybe I would. But I'm old fashioned. I like when the guy come to me."
He 21 year-old pop-star also recently spoke to 'Teen Vogue' in the December/January issue. She talked about growing up and entering her twenties, where she has "entered the decade of confusion about who I am and what I want to do with my life...that's what this entire decade's going to be [about]."
The singer continues, "Part of you wants to have that rebellious feeling where you're just like, forget it - I can do anything I want, I've tried it, and I've never been that girl. I'm always going to be the girl you want to take home to your parents, not for the night."
With age also comes maturity and Gomez feels she is learning what is wrong and right as her experiences grow, she says, "I like to say I have a good sense of judgment, but I know that not everybody does."
"The older I've gotten, the more I've learned that I have to open myself up to all opportunities. Maybe I'll get burned and not meet the right people, but I won't know until I do it."
Does this imply a reconciliation with Justin Bieber is off the cards?
