Rap Mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs Is Entering The World Of Animation By Executive Producing A New Comedy Series From King Of The Hill Writer Chip Hall.
Brightmoor, described as "South Park set in inner-city Detroit", will focus on the adventures of African-American students at the fictional Brightmoor Elementary school.
Detroit comedian CP, aka Chris Powell, will co-create the show with Hall, while Combs will executive produce the project for America's FX network through his Revolt Films banner, reports Deadline.com.
The hip-hop star has previously served as a producer on reality TV shows Making the Band, StarMaker, and Run's House, as well as TV movie A Raisin in the Sun and 2009 film Notorious, a biopic of his late protege Notorious B.I.G.
Cartoon comedy South Park, which was created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, revolves around the lives of four white school kids in the fictional small town of South Park, Colorado. It was launched in 1997 and has since become the third longest-running animated series in the U.S., behind The Simpsons and Arthur.
