Scott Disick Hospitalised With Alcohol Poisoning, But Is Kourtney Kardashian Relationship Trouble The Reason?

Scott Disick was allegedly hospitalised last month after drinking heavily and was treatment for alcohol poisoning. The news was revealed yesterday (17th July) by an US entertainment website. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star had reportedly been drinking excessively on June 22nd at a Hamptons nightclub and shortly after he was rushed to the emergency room of a nearby hospital.

Disick was spotted drinking at a 10ak nightclub in Southampton and was photographed with beer in hand. However, he evidently moved on to something stronger as numerous sources and publications report he was admitted to Southampton Hospital the same night. As TMZ reports, Disick was apparently so drunk he feared he had been drugged and couldn't even speak properly.

Interestingly, Disick was hospitalised mere days after Kourtney reportedly threw him out of their rented Hamptons house. It also happened to be a day after Kourtney and their two children were attending North West's birthday party in Los Angeles, notably without Disick. Could relationship problems have been at the root of Disick's binge?

Sources suggest otherwise and imply Disick was using alcohol as a means of coping with the loss of his parents. Speaking to People, a source described how Disick was coping well considering the personal losses he has suffered over the past year. The 31-year-old's parents, Jeffrey and Bonnie Disick died within three months of one another, Bonnie passing away in October 2013 and Jeffrey in January 2014. The source said "He's had an unimaginable year losing his parents. There have been highs and lows, and he's just doing his best trying to work through everything. He's really making progress."

The source also added how Disick is now "doing great". Other sources (speaking to TMZ) have claimed Disick has had an epiphany and has not touched a drop since the incident. The entertainment website also reports Disick is receiving counselling from Pastor Rich Wilkinson Jr., who married Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in May.

Disick is father to Mason (aged 4) and Penelope (aged 2) with his partner of seven years, Kourtney. The couple are also expecting a third child together. Despite reports of marital unrest, the couple seem to be doing well for the time being. On Wednesday, Disick shared an Instagram picture of him kissing Kourtney whilst in a rowing boast. He captioned the image "Like The Notebook. Only better."
