Johansson is currently busy promoting the upcoming sci-fi flick.
Scarlett Johansson stays as provocative as ever in the newly released trailer for the creepy sci-fi flick Under the Skin. In a nightmarish alien story vaguely reminiscent of the 90s horror Species, Johansson plays what appears to be gorgeous seductress, but is in fact a carnivorous alien in disguise. One of the first images of the trailer is Johansson herself, dressed only in a black lace bra, staring at the camera. Before you get all excited though, there is very little that could be called sexy about this trailer.
ScarJo is currently promoting the film at the Venice Film Festival.
If anything, the flashing images make it disturbing and creepy (as any alien story should be in our humble opinion). The filming and editing style on the other hand give the trailer a distinctly vintage, 80s vibe that could work really well with this kind of storyline.
For the photocall, the actress went casual in a black and white striped ensemble.
The story itself is based on Michael Faber’s eponymous novel, written in 2000. Director Jonathan Glazer, for whom this is a first attempt at the sci-fi genre, also collaborated with Faber and Walter Campbell to create the film adaptation. Scarlett Johansson is currently promoting the film at the Venice Film Festival, according to E!News. Under the Skin will also premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9. The date of the wide release has bot been announced yet.
Dark hair and a detached demeanor - the actress is almost unrecognisable in the teaser.
