Salma Hayek isn't worried about turning 50 next year.
The 'Tale of Tales' star - who has seven-year-old daughter Valentina with husband Francois-Henri Pinault - thinks she ''can still be beautiful'' at any age.
She said: ''In the past, when I tried to imagine what I would look like at my age, I was terrified. But now I've realised that I can still be beautiful approaching 50, and I feel very good about my life.''
But the brunette beauty admitted she finds it harder to find good roles in Hollywood now.
She explained: ''There aren't enough good roles for women. It's changing, though and we're seeing more women playing the leads in comedies and action films. That's a good sign, but there's still an age bias we have to face.
''When I came here I was told by the time I hit 35 my career would be over. But I'm still working and getting good roles. I still haven't done my best work.''
The actress has been happily married since 2009 and believes independence is the key to a successful relationship.
She said: ''My husband is a confident man who appreciates my independent character. He encouraged me to work and fulfil myself, and that's been one of the great strengths of our marriage.''
Salma is also encouraging her daughter to be creative and adventurous.
She added to US OK! magazine: ''She's surrounded by a lot of strong women in our family, and I hope she grows up to appreciate that.''
