Salma Hayek, 48, drinks bone broth from the remains of cows in order to keep her youthful appearance.
Salma Hayek credits bone broth for her youthful appearance.
The 48-year-old actress, who previously admitted she isn't a fan of cosmetic surgery and Botox, regularly drinks the concoction because she believes it helps her to maintain her good looks.
She said: ''It's sort of disgusting. You take a bunch of bones from a cow and slow-cook them for many hours. It's full of gelatin and fat, and I think it's very good to keep yourself young.''
Although she relies on strange techniques to remain youthful, the 'Everly' star never uses the gym and prefers doing more relaxing forms of exercise.
She explained: ''I don't do cardio, I mean, I didn't do it when I was young. I'm not going to start jumping now. But I do like yoga.''
The brunette beauty added she has a positive mental outlook about her life as well as her appearance and feels very grateful for everything in her life.
She told People magazine: ''I count my blessings every day.
''My father taught me to treat everyone the same and to stay close to your family. My mom taught me only stupid people get bored.''
