While speaking on The Today Show, the British comedian only had positive things to say about his ex-wife, Katy Perry.
Russell Brand and Katy Perry were once the most loved up A-Listers in showbiz, and as nearly four years have passed since the pair separated after 14 months of marriage, the British comedian can positively look back on their time together.
Brand and Perry were only married for 14 months
Speaking to Matt Lauer on the Today Show on Monday (Oct 13th), while promoting his new book 'Revolution,' Brand said, "I really enjoyed it," when asked about being married to the American songstress. "Katy Perry is an amazing person."
The former couple first began dating in 2009 and became engaged on New Year's Eve of that year, they went on to tie the knot in October 2010 in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India, but surprisingly Brand filed for divorce during the Christmas holidays in 2011.

"What happened was after you get married, like anyone who's been married or come out of a relationship, you obviously have a lot of expectations," Brand continued. "And if those expectations don't work out, then it's probably time to grow a big beard and walk around in pajamas. That's my advice."
Perry has often spoke of her short-lived marriage with the eccentric star, and in a candid interview with Rolling Stone this past August, the 29 year-old singer revealed she learned a very valuable lesson following their split.

"Now I know-first and foremost, self-love, and then give love away," she explained. "Back then it was mostly just me giving love away with no self-love. I went through my 'return of Saturn,' is what they call it."
