In just one of many, many things to happen at the 2016 Golden Globes, actress and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has confirmed that she’s engaged to wed Jason Statham, her boyfriend of five years.

The showbiz couple arrived at the prestigious red carpet event in Beverly Hills on Sunday night (January 10th), with 28 year old Rosie showing off an eye-catching diamond ring as she and her 48 year old fiancé posed for photographs outside the Hilton. A spokesperson for the pair later officially confirmed the engagement to E! News the following day.

Neither were up for any awards, but they were there showing support for various friends. Statham played a key role opposite Melissa McCarthy in the well-received comedy Spy in 2015, as well as a small part in the massive blockbuster Furious 7, while Huntington-Whiteley made her second major movie appearance in the massive Mad Max: Fury Road. Her only previous film role had been as Megan Fox’s replacement in the third Transformers movie.

The engagement news comes just a few weeks after the couple, who are usually quite tight-lipped about their relationship, were spotted in Phuket, Thailand, enjoying a romantic vacation together.

Last year, Huntington-Whiteley gave an interview in which she joked about her husband’s good looks. “People go crazy for Jason,” she said. “It can become a frenzy walking down the street with him.”

As for the prospect of children in the future, she also said that “having a family is something I think about for sure, and whether I'd live here in America or in England. But it's not always as simple as that… I have no idea what will happen, but it'll be interesting to find out, right? And nothing will be perfect, I'm sure.”
