Whilst chatting to a room full of journalists during a TimeTalks tete-a-tete in New York this week, Robert Pattinson may have been given his strangest Kristen Stewart-related question form a journo thus far.
During what was supposed to be an intellectual talk between, Pattinson, director David Cronenberg, a room of journalists and a webcam broadcasting the event across the globe, one journalist bucked the trend somewhat when he brought up the well-publicised split between the two Twilight stars. The journo in question, David Carr, asked Robert, "So if you and Kristen have trouble it's like Charles and Di having trouble?" Whilst Carr seemed relatively content with his reply from Pattinson, which was one of nervousness and backtracking and clearly unprepared, the enquiry into his failed relationship was immediately met with boos from the audience, both in studio and online. Once Carr had managed to get an answer there were calls across the board asking for the next question and for him to get back on track.
Since Robert returned to the media following his well-publicised split from Stewart, his interviews have so far been relatively quiet about the whole ordeal and tried to remain as professional as possible. So far Pattinson has appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and on Good Morning America with GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOUS.
