Robbie Williams will be a part of Take That’s upcoming 25th anniversary tour, according to bandmate Howard Donald. Williams first left the band in 1995, less than a year before they disbanded. The group then reformed in 2006 and Williams rejoined in 2010, before leaving again two years later.

Speaking to The Sun, Donald, along with Gary Barlow and Mark Owen said they’d been in touch with Williams and former member Jason Orange. While Williams’ participation looks like a done deal, it’s unlikely Orange will rejoin.

“We’ve been in touch with Jason and   we’ve been in touch with Robbie,” Donald said. “Jason is in his place where he is now and he’s not got any ­intention at the moment to be back in the band.” But the boys aren't just planning a tour, there’s also an album in the works.

“We’ve been talking to Robbie about it, and it might be that if we do a 25th anniversary album, that we do some co-writing or some extra tracks on that,” Donald continued.

“I think it would be nice to do something with him,” Owen added. “In our minds at the moment there’s an intention to do some new tracks, a greatest hits and a tour, then we’ll see.”

Speaking about their new music, Barlow said: “We’ve really enjoyed the music we’ve been making. We did a big tour last year. We really, really enjoyed that and we’re halfway through making a new record at the moment.”

“It feels good, it feels like a hybrid between the ­electronic stuff we’ve done and the acoustic stuff. We’ve got some ­amazing songs, and we just thought, ‘We’re going to go for this and do it this year.’”
