Rita Ora will have extra security at the Oscars to protect her jewellery.

The 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker has revealed she will be accompanied by a security guard at the ceremony tonight (22.02.15), who will keep her jewellery safe once she changes outfits for her performance at the event.

She said: ''I will have a bodyguard following me around and then as soon as it's done, it's like, 'Take my soul away.'''

Rita - who will be singing the Oscar-nominated song Grateful' from 'Beyond the Lights' during the show - is looking forward to wearing two custom-designed gowns.

She added: ''In the dress world for Rita Ora, there are two things you have to do: what hasn't anybody done [and] what could I do to make myself feel as sexy as possible.

''I'm really lucky to be in a position where I have an amazing team who can design custom from real incredible designers like Vera Wang and Marchesa and so forth.''

Despite having performed at other prestigious events previously, the 24-year-old singer is nervous and is trying not to think about the Academy Awards because it makes her ''start freaking out''.

She told E! News: ''I'm very very kind of blank because if I think about it... I start freaking out.''
