Rita Ora was taken to hospital yesterday, shortly after the man who broke into her home last year was convicted of burglary, and was found to be suffering from exhaustion.

The British singer, 25, was hospitalised late on Thursday night (June 29th), and shared a selfie from her hospital bed in A&E with her fans, revealing that her manic schedule over the last few days, culminating in a stressful court appearance to give testimony, had gotten the best of her but that she was recovering.

“Today was pretty tough but I'm getting through it thank you to all of you for the support! I love you,” she tweeted, underneath a picture of herself with an IV drip attached to her arm in the early hours of Friday morning.

The ‘R.I.P.’ singer, who has recently signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records after finally freeing herself from her previous contract with Jay Z’s Roc Nation, was inundated with well-wishes from her fans.

Ora was spotted partying with her friends at last weekend’s Glastonbury festival, and over the last few days she has been forced to appear in court to help convict the man who broke into the London home owned by herself and her sister Elena last November and stole nearly £200,000 worth of property.

Reports say she broke down in tears as she gave evidence behind a curtain in court this week, and on Wednesday the culprit, 26 year old Charaf Elmoudden, was convicted of one count of burglary by a jury.

A source told MailOnline about her hectic schedule over the last two months: “Yes, she was exhausted - a result of not having a break. She’s been working solidly for the last few months and then when she can she parties. Over the last few months she has been flying back and forth between Vancouver and L.A. – on the Fifty Shades set in Vancouver and then recording studio in L.A.”

“She then flew to UK for the court trial and then went to Glastonbury for a few days partying and then came back on Monday and shot a two day ad campaign in London this Tues and Wed.”
