Rita Ora and Ricky Hilfiger ''remain friends''.

The celebrity duo decided to end their year-long relationship a few weeks ago because of Rita's commitment to the reality TV show 'X Factor', but according to a source close to the pair, their separation was amicable and they are still close.

The insider explained: ''Rita is also juggling a very successful music career and is gearing up to release her second album. They've always had a very on-off relationship but friends of the pair say that this time it is for good.

''It has been an amicable split and they remain friends.

''Rita has been very upset that things didn't work out with Ricky but has been throwing herself into her work to keep her mind off it.''

Rita's decision to star as a judge on the reality show marked the end of their relationship.

The source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: ''Rita and Ricky found it difficult to continue their relationship due to their ongoing work commitments.

''They both tried to make it work but their schedules made it difficult. They are on two different sides of the Atlantic and Rita is going to be based in the UK for the next five months.''
