British singer Rita Ora has reportedly been tipped as the new host of ‘America’s Next Top Model’, when a revamped version of the competition debuts on VH1. Ora was previously a judge on both the UK versions of ‘The Voice’ and ‘The X Factor’, but ‘Top Model’ would be her first hosting gig.

Ora would be replacing Tyra Banks who hosted the competition for its 22 seasons, 12 year run on the CW, before it was cancelled last year. Although she won’t be in front of the camera, Banks will be staying on as an executive producer for the VH1 version.

A source told The Sun: ““Rita is in a dream world as she’s landed the ultimate gig. She’ll be mixing her two passions of fashion and music and taking over from a TV institution in Tyra. ‘Next Top Model’ bosses wanted to inject some freshness back into the format and they see Rita as the ideal new face. She is releasing a new single later this year to coincide with it.”

Earlier this year Banks revealed it was her job to find her own replacement for the revamp. “I’m pumped to identify that person and bring back the show,” she said. ‘Top Model’ fans, you demanded that the show come back and VH1 answered the call. Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth!”
