Singer Rita Ora appeared in court today (June 22) to give evidence in the trial of a man accused of breaking into her London home and stealing £200,000 worth of jewellery. During the hearing the jury heard the frantic 999 call Ora made on the night of November 28, where she threatened to “f*** up” the intruder if he came near her and her sister Elena.

Rita OraRita Ora has given evidence about the night her London home was burgled.

Ora broke down in tears when hearing the 999 call again, saying: "That phone call freaks me out a bit, so just give me a moment.” During the call Ora told the police operator she had locked her and sister Elena in the bedroom, and didn't know if the intruder is armed.

When giving evidence Ora’s sister Elena said she had woken to find a man rifling through her bedroom. She told the court: “At one point he was an arm’s length away which was really scary because it means he was looking at me directly while I was asleep.”

“I said hello and was really confused and he turned around and looked at me. He looked dead in my eyes.” The man fled the house after stealing £200,000 of jewellery, designer clothes and handbags, an iPhone and a computer.

After seeing the man Elena ran upstairs to her sister's room and started screaming. In her 999 call Ora tells the operator: "I want you to come to the house right now. There's been a robbery in my house. I just locked myself in my room, my sister saw him in her room. Can you send them right now?

"How long are you going to be?” What do I do, what do I do. Oh my God. What if he comes in the house?” she continued. "OK f***ing hell, I'm scared to go downstairs." Ora then frantically asks for the police to hurry up, before she hears footsteps outside the room.

The man accused of carrying out the robbery is Charaf Elmoudden of Muswell Hill, who is thought to have been aided by another man. Mr Elmoudden denies burglary, saying it is a case of mistaken identity. The trial continues.
