Rihanna stole the show at the Met Gala on Monday night (04.05.15) in a giant gold and yellow gown.
The 27-year-old singer was the talk of the red carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's 2015 Costume Institute Benefit to celebrate the opening of the China: Through the Looking Glass exhibition.
Rihanna arrived to a blinding flash of cameras as she strutted into the exclusive event wearing the golden hued dress, which was created by Chinese designer Guo Pei, trimmed in yellow fur and finished off with an enormous train.
The 'Fourfiveseconds' hitmaker finished off the outfit with metallic strappy sandals, a gold and silver headpiece - also created by Pei - and a intricate necklace. Underneath the gown, Rihanna was wearing a pink mini-dress.
The R&B beauty gushed she was ''in love'' with the outfit - which took ''two years to make'' - but confessed she struggled to walk in it unaided.
Speaking to VanityFair.com on the red carpet, she said: ''I'm so in love with this dress, but the train is insane! I can't really walk in it without any help. But it's so worth it. I love this dress so much! It's Chinese couture and it's made by Guo Pei. It's handmade by one Chinese woman and it took her two years to make.''
Rihanna discovered the dress while doing some research online on Chinese fashion and once she found it she knew she had to have it for the Met Gala.
She explained: ''I found it online ... I was researching Chinese couture on the Internet and I found it.''
Although Rihanna has received much praise for her bold choice of outfit, some fans have mocked the dress on social media comparing the lengthy train to an omelette or a pizza and numerous spoof photos have been created and posted showing the gown as the dishes.
Other stars to attend the Met Gala include Jennifer Lopez, Cara Delevingne, Kim Kardashian West and her husband Kanye West, Stella Mccartney, Sienna Miller, Robert Pattinson and his fiancée FKA Twigs and Amal Clooney and her husband George Clooney.
