The gorgeous singer shocked fans in 2008 when she unveiled a new pixie crop and Rihanna credits the drastic cut with influencing her sound and personal style.
Rihanna - who is currently sporting curly red hair - told US Vogue: "When I cut my hair, the whole sound changed, my style changed."
The 23-year-old pop star is renowned for her unusual outfits and Rihanna explained she now loves experiment with her style.
She said: "Fashion has become more about taking a risk. When I am putting looks together, I dare myself to make something work."
Rihanna also revealed she has finally come to terms with her curves and has decided to celebrate them rather than wishing she was skinnier.
She explained: "Over the holidays...I realized that I actually like my body, even if it's not perfect according to the book. I just feel sexy. For the first time, I don't want to get rid of the curves. My body is comfortable, and it's not unhealthy, so I'm going to rock with it."
