Some artists performed; some won awards, but the real story from the Grammys 2013 was the way Rihanna and Chris Brown were flaunting their newly reconciled relationship.

Adored by many, Rihanna could do no wrong until she decided to get back together with Chris Brown – the man who was convicted for beating her back in 2009. And Brown further justified his levied disdain by refusing to stand and applaud Frank Ocean, whose official studio debut, channel ORANGE, won best urban contemporary album, beating out Brown’s effort in the category. The pair recently had a ruckus in a parking lot, reportedly over a parking space. Now why would you want to be with this guy, Rihanna? Well, she told Rolling Stone that “Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake,” late last month. “After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it." The night before The Grammys (2013), Brown crashed his car, escaping with minor injuries. He blamed the paparazzi for chasing him.

Ocean also won best rap/sung collaboration for 'No Church In the Wild' with West, Jay-Z and The-Dream in what was ultimately a disappointing night for the Odd Future star. He was nominated for six categories and was favourite for at least four of them.
