Pre-teen Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis and Skyfall actress Naomie Harris are set to be honoured by Essence magazine editors at its annual Black Women in Hollywood event.
The nine-year-old child star, the youngest actor ever to land a nod for an Academy Award, will receive the Breakthrough Performance Award for her role in The Beasts of the Southern Wild, while Harris will collect the Lincoln Shining Star prize.
Media mogul Oprah Winfrey and actress Gabrielle Union will also be feted with the Power Award and the Fierce and Fearless Award, respectively.
The gala will take place in Hollywood on 21 February (13), three days before the 2013 Oscars on 24 February (13).
