American music producer Quincy Jones has filed a lawsuit for $10 million aimed at Michael Jackson's posthumous music releases.

TMZ reported, Jones is suing Michael Jackson Productions (MJJ) and Sony citing the works 'This Is It' movie, the Cirque du Soleil stage show and the 25th Anniversary of the 'Bad' album, which contain music that Jones produced.

The lawyer for the Michael Jackson addressed these allegations to the gossip website and said;

"The Estate of Michael Jackson was saddened to learn that Quincy Jones has filed a lawsuit seeking money from Michael's Estate. To the best of our knowledge, Mr. Jones has been appropriately compensated over approximately 35 years for his work with Michael."

The 80 year old also claims he is owed royalties for his work on Jackson's posthumous releases, and isn't credited as producer because they wrongfully re-mixed the tracks to deprive him from back-end profit participation.

His attorney, Henry Gradstein, states "Quincy has been frustrated with these matters for a number of years, felt he was not making any progress and needed to take more formal action."

The film 'This Is It' is from AEG Live, the promotional company who was handling Jackson's comeback tour in 2009 prior to his death. It would follow Jackson as the singer prepares for what would have been his last concert tour.

The two Cirque du Solei theatrical shows called 'The Immortal Tour' and 'One' feature music from the moon-walkers entire career and have grossed an estimated $300 million to date. S

oundtracks for the film and theatrical shows have been released with re-edited music, but Quincy's contract with the late singer stated that he would be given the first opportunity to re-mix any of the master recordings the producer worked on, thus Sony and MJJ are in breach of their contract

. Jones filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday Oct 25th and he wants at least $10 million.
