Singer Prince is said to be now resting at home following his hospitalisation on early Friday morning (April 15th). The 57-year-old singer was rushed to hospital in Illinois after his private plane was forced to make an emergency landing when he fell ill on board.
Prince is recovering at home after falling ill on Friday morning.
A rep for the singer confirmed to People that was taken to the hospital in Moline, Illinois, where he was treated and released three hours later. He is said to have been battling flu for a number of weeks.

Prince is currently in the middle of his ‘Piano and a Microphone’ tour, but last week he postponed two shows in Atlanta after falling ill. After rescheduling the shows, he performed in the city on Thursday night.
On Friday morning he had tweeted ‘I am still floating on a cloud of purple intoxication after last night's Piano & A Microphone show in Atlanta’, after receiving tweets from fans, including singer Janelle Monáe who was in attendance.
Monaé had tweeted: ‘Prince. In Atlanta. At the FOX Theatre. With just a piano. Greatest ever. RE inspired all over again.’ Singer Judith Hill was also said to be in attendance at the sold-out show.

Last month Prince announced he was writing his first memoir, which is expected to arrive in autumn 2017. Tentatively titled ‘The Beautiful Ones’ the book has been described by publishers as ‘an unconventional and poetic journey through his life and creative work’.
