There are few songs more relatable in current pop culture than Pink's new song 'Barbies'. If ever you have felt like you wished your childhood away and that adulthood isn't all that it was cracked up to be, don't worry - she has felt the very same thing.

Even the most beautiful, rich and successful of people have moments where they just want to run and hide from their responsibilities - indeed, Pink longs for the days when all she had to worry about was what her Barbies were going to wear on a makebelieve photoshoot.

The audio for 'Barbies' complete with an animated image of the singer herself dropped this week, almost a month since she launched her seventh studio album 'Beautiful Trauma'. Co-written by Julia Michaels, Ross Golan, Jakob Jerlström and Ludvig Söderberg, and co-produced by The Struts, it's a soaring ballad that appears as the sixth track. 

Of course, it's not the first nostalgic track she's ever released; the Deluxe edition / Target exclusive of 2012 album 'The Truth About Love' featured the bonus track 'Good Old Days' which also reflected on the speed of the passage of time. This change of attitude is quite the stark contrast to her debut 'Missundaztood' in 2001, where she spoke more about the traumas of her past and getting away from it ('Family Portrait', 'Don't Let Me Get Me') rather than expressing her desire for it back.

'Beautiful Trauma' also includes singles 'What About Us' and the rather tongue-in-cheek 'Revenge' featuring Eminem. She embarks on her world tour in March 2018, kicking off with a show at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona on March 1st. She'll play cities in Chicago, Toronto, Detroit, New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and many others until June, after which she'll go international.
