Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr's Split Appears Truly "Amicable"

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr may have decided their marriage is over but their family life certainly is not.

British actor Bloom met the Australian model in 2007. They married in 2010 but appear to have been having problems since late 2012, if rumours are to be believed. Rumours of their alleged relationships troubles seemed to be unfounded, especially as the couple were spotted together at the Broadway premiere of Bloom's Romeo and Juliet. However, the news of their split was reported last week and confirmed by their representative. 

The couple's representative confirmed their split to the New York Daily News on Friday 25th October, the issued statement reads: "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months. After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation. Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."

Kerr and Bloom have been separated for a couple of months.

This certainly seems accurate as the couple have been spotted, as reported by the Daily News, as sharing the same apartment and dining at the same restaurant with their two-year-old son Flynn. They later strolled around Central Park with Flynn held in Kerr's arms. This certainly seems to confirm their representative's statement that their separation is "amicable."

Bloom has been in New York for the last few months rehearsing and starring in Romeo and Juliet, opposite Condola Rashad. The couple have been sharing an apartment in Manhattan which both were seen going into. One of TMZ's photographers managed to corner Bloom and questioned him about his separation. The photographer asked if Bloom and Kerr were "still friends", Bloom responded by stating that he and Kerr were "not friends, we're family". 

The couple appear to be still living in the same apartment.
