Oprah Winfrey has been criticised by members of a Michael Jackson fan group over plans to air an interview with the King of Pop's kids just days after she screens a show discussing child molestation.
The TV titan is due to broadcast a special episode of her talk show on Monday (08Nov10), which will see her chatting to Jackson's mother Katherine, as well as his children, Prince Michael, 13, Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Blanket.
But she has come under fire for scheduling the episode just three days after a planned programme titled '200 Adult Men Who Were Molested Come Forward'.
Winfrey insists the scheduling is "purely coincidental", but members of the Official Michael Jackson Fans of Southern California group are not happy about the timing.
A representative from the syndicate tells TMZ.com, "We are both angry and disappointed in Oprah's constant need to reference child molestation shows prior to airing Michael Jackson related episodes. Her tone seems to speak volumes... How can something so obvious be a coincidence?"
The pop superstar was tried on child molestation charges in 2005 and later acquitted.
