One Direction have been ordered to hold off on partying after the London premiere of their new movie to avoid causing chaos in the U.K. capital.
Around 70,000 fans are expected to show up to see the boyband walk the red carpet on Tuesday (20Aug13), before unveiling This Is Us at a theatre in Leicester Square, where hundreds of youngsters have been camping out ahead of their arrival.
In a bid to control the crowds, a spokesperson for Westminster Council has urged devotees to check out the action online, saying, "We are obviously encouraging people, if they can, to watch it (the premiere) from home."
Meanwhile, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles have been advised not to hold an afterparty - because it could cause a frenzy among fans attempting to follow the heart-throb singers.
Horan explains, "The 'after show police' have been trying to stop us doing anything because there'll be so many fans trying to get in. We were told that up to 70,000 fans could come along to the premiere. It will shut central London down."
Metropolitan Police bosses insist "appropriate plans are in place" for the much anticipated event.
