Olly Murs failed to get a picture with Russell Crowe after racing into a TV studio to capture the snap earlier today (26.03.15) because the actor had pre-recorded his interview on the programme.
Olly Murs ran into a TV studio to get a picture with Russell Crowe - only to discover the actor had pre-recorded his interview.
The 30-year-old singer was left devastated when he realised he had missed the 'Water Diviner' actor, who was being interviewed on British show 'This Morning', by a number of days when he rushed onto the set earlier today (26.03.15), but presenters Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden consoled the 'Oh My Goodness' hitmaker by taking a selfie with him instead.
Phillip told the watching audience: ''Olly Murs has just raced into the studio to get a picture with Russell Crowe - but the interview was pre-recorded!''
Despite missing out on Russell, Olly took to Twitter to share his selfie with Amanda and Phillip.
He wrote: ''Didn't get @Russellcrowe selfie but I got one with these two lovely people @amanda_holden @Schofe @itvthismorning (sic)''
Following Olly's missed opportunity, a number of fans pleaded with the 50-year-old actor to get in touch with the singer.
carolannuk tweeted: ''@russellcrowe can u say hi to @ollyofficial he just sprinted to this morning studio for a selfie with u, to find it was recorded last week (sic)''
And many thought it was hilarious that Olly had made such an effort to get a picture with Russell, but he hadn't taken into account the star's interview on the programme had been recorded in advance of today's broadcast.
