Olivia Munn has had several film and TV projects on her plate recently. But how has the stresses of her busy life affected her whilst she struggles with an anxiety disorder? The actress recently revealed that when under pressure she pulls out her eyelashes - a disorder that she claims isn't painful.
The actress has cropped up everywhere this year, appearing in Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh's stripper comedy 'Magic Mike' alongside Channing Tatum and Matthew MCconaughey as well as TV drama 'The Newsroom' by Aaron Sorkin. Her latest project was the leading role (incidentally her first leading role as an actress) in the comedy 'The Babymakers' about a young couple who decide to try for a baby but the husband discovers his sperm count is too low and so he sets out retrieve a sample he donated to a sperm bank many years ago. 'What I loved about the movie is the dynamic of this couple', Munn told Reuters. 'They're in the early years of their marriage; they feel like they have time. Everything seemed to be working before, but now there's this problem.'
Munn doesn't believe that she could cope with having a child of her own due to her rather severe anxiety disorder. 'I definitely don't have a baby urge right now', she told the New York Daily News. 'I have this huge fear of something happening to a child of mine. What if I'm not a good parent and my child turns out to be a jerk? Like I need more anxiety in my life.' And that's not the only area of stress that sets Munn on edge. According to WebProNews.com, she suffers from a condition called trichotillomania; a disorder associated with anxiety where sufferers are compelled to pull out their own hair. 'I rip out my eyelashes', she said. 'It doesn't hurt, but it's really annoying. Every time I run out of the house, I have to stop and pick up a whole set of fake eyelashes.'
