Hollywood star Nicole Kidman is interested in turning her stage show 'Photograph 51' into a movie.
Nicole Kidman is in talks to turn her stage show 'Photograph 51' into a movie.
The 48-year-old actress is currently starring in the production in London's West End and is already exploring the possibility of bringing her portrait of DNA pioneer Rosalind Franklin to the big screen.
The Oscar-winning actress admitted a movie is ''a way off'', but said: ''The opening night's over and I couldn't be more relieved.''
The stage production has received rave reviews since it opened, and Nicole is thrilled with how the show has been received.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''We played it the best we could, but were so eager to get through it that we lost several minutes of the running time.''
Meanwhile, Michael Grandage - the director of 'Photograph 51' - said the film would not just be a movie of the play.
He shared: ''It's going to be a proper picture.''
This comes shortly after Nicole revealed she doesn't miss the Hollywood scene, having moved to Nashville nine years ago.
She explained: ''I don't miss the Hollywood life, definitely not. But I don't think I've ever been a part of that. I still put on a gown and go on the red carpet, and that's when you're all for a moment circling each other, and I know all those people.
''If you're committed to a fame path that's a whole different thing. But for me that's almost like the burden that comes with it. I don't say that complaining, but that's the part that's work so I can do the thing I love.''
