Nicki Minaj paid a visit to rising R&B star August Alsina in hospital after he woke up from a coma.

The No Love singer collapsed during a performance in New York last week (ends21Sep14) and was placed in intensive care after he suffered several seizures. He woke from a three-day coma on Friday (19Sep14) and his pal and No Love collaborator Minaj headed to the hospital to check on his recovery.

The Starships hitmaker posted a picture on Instagram.com on Monday (22Sep14) showing Alsina resting his head on her shoulder while they sit in his hospital room.

She writes, "August, u know, I'm here to save u (sic). Still praying for my lil bro (brother). He's doing better."

Alsina also posted a 'selfie' with Minaj on his Instagram page, adding, "She has to be the sweetest girl I know."

Several of Alsina's U.S. tour dates have been scrapped due to his hospitalisation and it is unclear when he will be well enough to perform again.
