Nicki Minaj's boyfriend Meek Hill says they have no plans ''to get married yet.''

The 28-year-old rapper presented the 32-year-old star with a 15-carat heart-shaped white and yellow diamond ring last month, but insists they aren't engaged.

Asked about their relationship, the 'Amen' hitmaker said: ''It's definitely real. But it ain't really time to get married yet. We're still learning each other, feeling each other out.''

The 'Anaconda' hitmaker, who split from Safaree Samuels in late 2014 after 12 years of dating, caused a frenzy when she posted a photograph of the ring on her Instagram profile in April, shortly after writing: ''I wish every night could feel like last night.''

Meek told The Fader magazine that his grandmother was also convinced they were preparing to tie the knot because ''whatever she sees on TV, she believes.''

The couple initially denied they were dating when they were first linked in December, but Meek - whose real name is Robert Rahmeek Williams - later confessed he was smitten with Nicki.

He said: ''Yeah, that's my baby right there. S**t real. Yeah, I tell her that. I'm like, 'I don't really hold hands, but like, I'll hold hands with you.' She know that.

''Like, I don't really do things, but certain people make you do certain little stuff and it be like, 'S**t, I don't care.' They can catch me in the pictures doing anything nowadays, holding an umbrella for Nicki, you know what I'm saying? I got the girl that I wanted, not what they wanted, you know what I'm saying? What I wanted.''
