Who got it right on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards?
Of all the Hollywood awards shows, the MTV Movie Awards is the one which usually throws up the most interesting fashion choices. Known for being a lot more laid back and fun than other awards shows, here the stars are able to let their hair down and take more risks on the red carpet. It's not surprising then that this year’s offering have given us many looks to lust over. From the slinkiest black gowns to the most colour popping minis, here are some of our favourite looks from the evening.
Nicki Minaj in Alexander McQueen
First off we had to do a double take upon seeing Nicki Minaj. The usually less demure singer stunned in a floor length black Alexander McQueen gown which hugged her figure perfectly and showed off enough skin to keep with her sexy image. She then accessorised with gold bracelets going up each arm and statement gold necklace and earrings.
Also turning heads in black was Rita Ora, who opted for a cleavage baring Barbara Casasola gown. The singer’s hair was styled in classic retro waves which complimented her smokey eye makeup. We’re also pretty envious of her clutch which was embroidered with ‘Hold It’ on the front in gold glitter.

Newlyweds Sarah Gilbert and Linda Perry made a perfect red carpet couple in their compliementing suits. Sarah went for all black with a leather jacket over her simple tshirt and skinny jeans while Linda teamed a grey blazer with one of her trademark hats and a grey suit plus some chunky platform boots.
Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice was pretty in pink in a Atelier Versace dress which featuring a swirling print and lace detailing. She topped off the look with a pair of silver Brian Atwood shoes and an Edie Parker clutch. Another young star turning heads was Bella Thorne who wore a pale blue, one arm Versace mini dress and silver Jimmy Choo heels.

As always, Rihanna had a unique take on the red carpet look, wearing an Ulyana Sergeenko bustier with a long robe tied over the top. The singer’s statuesque frame was on display as she showed a lot of leg in the white ensemble. Ellie Goulding went more traditional in white with a Giorgio Armani dress which had slight cut outs at the sides.
Continuing to cement herself as our newest style icon, Lupita Nyong’o brought colour to the red carpet in her bright Chanel dress which combined clashing colours and prints to make the perfect eye catching statement. She also brought more colour to the look with a pair of turquoise heels.

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi walked the red carpet in one of her own creations, from her Snooki Love by Nicole Polizzi range. The expectant star looked radiant in the short floral number. Another rumoured mum to be, Mila Kunis, hid any sign of a bump in her short black Thakoon dress.
Rising star, Shailene Woodley went all ‘Game of Thrones’ on us in her dark green leather outfit, one of our favourite looks of the night. With a long sleeved top which was tied just above the waist and a pleated skirt, Shailene looked every inch the movie star with this edgy Balmain creation. Also ditching the traditional red carpet dress for a skirt was Jessica Alba who teamed a yellow/green Kenzo skirt with a white bandeau top.
