Caleb Logan ‘Bratayley’, the star of a popular family YouTube channel, has died at the age of 13.
Caleb Logan, the teenager from Maryland who rose to prominence through his family’s popular YouTube channel, has died at the age of 13. His mother announced the sad news on the family’s Instagram on Friday (2nd October).
His mother, in the caption of a picture of Caleb with his younger sister, explained the circumstances surrounding Caleb’s untimely death. Caleb died of natural causes on Thursday (1st October) but his actual cause of death has yet to be revealed.

‘Yesterday at 7:08PM Caleb Logan Bratayley passed away of natural causes,’ Caleb’s mother wrote in the caption.
‘This has come as a shock to all of us. Words cannot describe how much we will miss him. His incredibly funny, loving and wonderful spirit made us all fall in love with him as a YouTuber, friend, brother and son.’
The family, who go under the pseudonym ‘Bratayley’, have run a popular YouTube channel since 2011 which now has over 1.6 million subscribers. The videos simply follow the family’s life, particularly the children’s hobbies and activities, and are uploaded on a daily basis.

The family have a following of fans across the world and recently made a visit to Australia as part of a promotional tour. The family have asked their fans to be patient at this time.
‘We know you tune in to watch each day and eagerly anticipate new videos,’ Caleb’s mother wrote on her Instagram post. ‘But ask that you bear with us while we deal with this tragedy as a family. Please help us honor our, baked potato.’
The family have since uploaded two videos (one on Saturday 3rd and another on Sunday 4th). The first contains footage of Caleb taken shortly before his death in which he is questioned about what he wants to be when he’s older. The second is a compilation of footage of Caleb from over the past four years. The video ends with snapshots of the messages of support from fans that have been posted on social media.
