Daphne Guinness started designing clothes for herself when she was five.
The style icon says she had to create her own outfits from a very young age because she found it hard to find clothes that fitted her but admits she now has a team of people to help her.
She said: "I often if not always customise my pieces, and I have several different people working on my sketches. It just depends where on the planet I happen to be. I can work a sewing machine but I am not fast so that I leave to others. I started doing this from the age of five as since I am tiny nothing fit.
"I have probably made about 100 pieces. I have no production and they are figments of my imagination made real. Hope this helps."
As well as designing her own clothes, Daphne, 43, was recently named as the new face of Nars cosmetics after being selected by her friend Francois Nars.
Of the appointment, he said: "She fits the image of the brand so well. She's very creative and elegant and is a chameleon. And she really loves make-up - the whole process of it. Any makeup artist dreams of having someone like that as a Muse."
