Vanessa Lachey had the baby blues four days after giving birth to her five-month-old son Camden and tries to make time for herself so she can enjoy being a mother more
Vanessa Lachey had the baby blues after giving birth.
The TV presenter - who is married to Nick Lachey - has revealed she was forced to flea her house just four days after welcoming their son Camden five months ago after an emotional meltdown and said it thought her the importance of still making time for herself.
She told USMagazine.com: ''Well, I'll never forget day four after Camden was born. I was in bliss the first three days and by day four, I had a moment where I was crying and just needed a second. I was flooded by emotions.
''I remember needing to get out of the house. I was like, 'I need me right now.' I went out, put the windows down in my car, and One Republic's 'Feel Again' came on the radio. I turned it up and felt so much better. I came home, took a shower without any interruption. It is so important to make 'me' time.''
The 32-year-old brunette beauty is happy that Nick, 39, is a hands-on father because it has made adjusting to motherhood much easier.
She said: ''Nick usually gets up with Cam around 7:30 AM. He is just a morning guy. He'll get up and feed Cam. And I do the nighttime stuff. I bathe him, put him down, and sing him a lullaby.''
The couple recently revealed that their son makes their life together ''much more beautiful''.
In a heartfelt letter to the tot on his first Valentine's Day (14.02.13), she revealed how he has changed their lives.
She wrote: ''Cam, This Valentine's Day you'll only be 5 months old, but I feel like I've loved you forever,'' Vanessa wrote. ''I have wanted to be your mommy for as long as I can remember. Nothing in this world could ever compare to the way you make me and your daddy feel every day.''
